- A super Ellowyne and a must for Goth/modernized Victorian doll collectors
- Mine arrived on 2-4-16 and I like her very very much. A wonderful take on an all black outfit This Ellowyne has all the familiar hallmarks--shirred long sleeves, multi layer skirt, horizontal stripes tights and detailed shoes as well as the facial painting and hair color that goes perfectly with the concept of the outfit. The skirt alone has about 5 to 6 layers alone: doubled black nylon net, dark gray silk or maybe rayon silk, soft black fine net, large pattern black lace with a hint of metallic, and burnout velvet in front, like an apron. The burnout velvet also makes up the bodice front. The hat, shoes, and simple wig puts a slightly modern take on an outfit that looks late 1880-s. Wig on mine has slightly longer bangs than the prototype(the straight, short bangs are very 1880's-early 1890's. My only quibble(a minor one)is that the doll's torso and arms are sheathed in plastic--possibly the only solution to avoid staining the body with an all-black costume.
- Beautiful doll... her outfit is well constructed, her wig is soft and manageable, and I love the soft coloring of her lips.
