Arriving at Aurora Cosmetics Headquarters on Madison Avenue, Tyler
eagerly awaited her first appointment with its dynamically imaginative
CEO, Mei Li. Through conversations during fittings supervised by Tyler,
ideas were woven like fine silk threads to launch Wentworth and Aurora
into a new generation of fashion and beauty. As Tyler entered the modern,
circular office, Mei Li enthusiastically greeted her with a subtle, smart
smile and flashing almond eyes full of creativity. It was no surprise she
was wearing Tyler’s Russian Renaissance; it had just been custom-fitted to
Mei Li’s exacting ideals. She adored Tyler’s tailored classical couture
with an exotic feel, much as all the Wentworth Couture that Mei Li
exclusively selected for her wardrobe. The color scheme and texture of the
suit’s rich brocade fit perfectly with Mei Li’s decorating tastes applied
around her immaculate office. She removed the velvet hat that so nicely
contrasted with her polished obsidian hair as she beckoned Tyler to hear
her ideas. Within a few delicious minutes, their Cosmetics Campaign
sprang to life.
Note: This was the first issue of Mei Li...she is distinguished by the
light face and eye paint as opposed to the other styles subsequently issued.

Using traditional themes with updated draping techniques,
Tyler Wentworth® created a sculptural custom gown for Mei Li to
wear at the annual All-Embassies Ball in Washington, DC. Delighted
to join her ambassador father, Mei Li stood in the reception line a
perfect column of emerald green brocade woven with black and gold to
enhance the asymmetrical pleating used at the hipline and across the
bodice. With a semi-backless treatment and daring green, jet and
gold jewelry, Mei Li sparkled at her father’s side.

While watching the
colors and textures of the runway, Mei Li made copious notes to describe
to Tyler Wentworth® which outfits she would choose from the
collection. When the gowns appeared there were many that caught Mei
Li’s eyes, but one stood out as the definitive splendor to wear at the
Grand Launch Ball of the Cosmetics Campaign. In a multi-tiered
fantasy of ruffled chiffon, the colors of the lilac and lavender blended
into an a-line skirt that flared away from the waistline. To
complete the look, Mei Li would match the gown with a custom-designed
palette for the face in soft, inviting tones. A frothy chiffon wrap
created an undeniable mood with the structured, strapless bodice to form
an instant classic.

To attend a Carnivale
Gala in New York, Mei Li selected a stunning couture original from the
Tyler Wentworth® Collection. Entitled, 'Manhattan Magic,' the
gown was a veritable feast of fuchsia ruffles under a fitted top.
Using a rich brocade for the top, Tyler's design coordinated perfectly
with the skirt, and the hand-beaded details caught every tiny spark of
light.
