April is National Poetry Month and We’re Celebrating with Ellowyne’s 8th Annual Poetry Contest!
Diagnosed at a young age with chronic ennui, Ellowyne’s Therapist,
Dr. Bantam, has her write poetry as a way to cope with her emotions.
Eligibility – Open to all poets, poets in waiting, doll collectors, therapists, teachers…well, anyone really, published or not, regardless of experience. Current or former employees of Wilde/Tonner or their relatives are not eligible. ALL poems must be 4-8 lines long, speak to Ellowyne’s chronic ennui, and include the word: MYSTERY within the poem.
Deadline – The deadline for submission is April 25, 2016 at Midnight EST. All entries submitted MUST be postmarked by this date. Entries must contain: poet’s name, address, phone number and email address (if appropriate). Entries may be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: POETRY or sent via mail to the following address:

The following prizes will be awarded:
- FIRST prize of an in-stock Ellowyne Wilde or Friend Dressed Doll (vinyl/hard plastic) of your choice, signed by Robert Tonner.
- SECOND place winner of in-stock Ellowyne or Friend Basic Doll (vinyl/hard plastic) of your choice.
- THIRD place winner of an outfit to fit Ellowyne and Friends of your choice.
Prizes are subject to change and may be substituted at any time. We will post the winning Entries with the names/poems on our social media or website. Winners will be announced no later than May 20, 2016.
Decisions: Entries are judged on the basis of originality, creativity, characterization, observance of line limits, adherence to the theme of ennui and incorporating the word: MYSTERY into the poem. Decisions of the judges are final.
Rights – All poems remain the property of the artist. By submitting a poem for this contest, the artist agrees to allow Wilde Imagination/Tonner Doll Company to post their name and poem on any of the Wilde Imagination/Tonner Doll Company’s social media outlets.
