Gearing up for the 2011 Tonner Convention!

Did you HAIR?? Tonner Con is right around the corner, and that means we get to play dress-up!

…Things are getting pretty exciting around here in preparation for our upcoming convention!  As you may or may not have heard by now, we will be blogging our little vinyl hearts out, so you can follow the convention blow by blow.  That way, those who can’t make it can still VIRTUALLY attend.

By now, most of the staff here has their costumes in place.  Some who are creatively inclined sew their own costumes, some choose something from this cute little costume/make-up store down the block, and others borrow, re-use and re-fashion.  One thing is for sure, almost no one knows for sure what the other will wear!  Imagine that, we all work so closely together!  Well, what can we say? Some people have a penchant for surprises…

Here are some pics of super-cool, weird, out-of-the-box costumes that the Tonner Staff has donned in the past:

Tonner Staffer Laura as Pheonix.
Just another day at the office... Crispen Aragon and Eric Goodman ROCK it!
Joe Petrollese and Jack Kralik suit up.

As you can see, we go all out, because so do our collectors!  (See below…)

There are no words... 2 of our very dear collectors: Quincy Mata and Al Green.
Michael Guinta and Brian Marsee: Costumes gone Wilde!

No doubt that the most elaborate of costumes will be worn to our Masquerade Ball event on Saturday night.  Imagine, if you will, a sea of hoop skirts, tuxedos, feathers, sequins, bustiers, and of course, face-concealing masks.  Jareth from Labyrinth may even be running around somewhere, on this night when fantasy and reality collide.

What would you wear to a Fantasy Masquerade Ball?

…Only one thing is for certain:  a good time will be had by all!
