Here is a peek at our 2012 SDCC Exclusive: Zombie Boy. If you don’t know Rick Genest visit his website rickgenest.com to find out more about him and like the Rick Genest Facebook fan page. Rick came into larger global awareness when Lady Gaga featured him and his tattoo styling in her “Born This Way” video (below). You can read his personal story here, on this website.
Not only is this doll – the hashtag #zombiedoll on twitter – a SDCC 2012 exclusive (our only SDCC 2012 exclusive and limited to 500 pieces), Rick himself will be at our booth 4149 for two signings on July Friday 13th, one at 11am and another at 3pm.

Such a confluence of happenings as “Born This Way” was a kind of YouTube Anthem for last year’s SDCC producing this inspired Cosplay Lip-sync video, doing Lady Gaga proud. More than suitable that Rick will be at our SDCC booth (4149) for two signings (details above).

And perhaps you’ve seen Rick in this beautifully conceived and shot Dermablend commercial about getting beneath our “cover”…
Rick’s Ground Breaking Dermablend Pro Commercial
“Since its debut last October, the video has received over 15 million views and more than 650,000 shares on Facebook. The campaign won a grand prize for the digital category at the prestigious advertising CREA Awards in Montreal, two awards in the categories of Best Branded Viral Video and Best Art Direction during the third edition of the Bees Awards (the first international awards focused on social media) in San Francisco, as well as in the digital video category of the Brand Innovators award, which took place in New York City. “Go Beyond the Cover,” was also picked as Mashable.com’s most innovative viral ads of 2011.”
Rick is the first Dermablend male model, and now an official spokesperson.

All lines have been blurred…crossed and recrossed. Beauty redefined to bring what is inside out…The superficial flesh masked…inked…removed…revealing the structure of what is within without…Beyond what is ordinarily accepted in an extraordinary way. Living, breathing art…

Does he have full body tattoos like feet and legs also or just the head and torso?
July 2, 2012 at 3:57 pm
Hey Sonja, no feet and legs. Head, arms and torso only. I’m told that Rick is still working on his legs.

How will the signings be handled? Will we have to get in line upstairs to get a losing ticket number so then we get to go into a standby line downstairs only to have security tell us we have to keep moving? Have gone to 18 SDCCs and have yet to get a winning signing ticket! Can Tonner collectors be given first chance? This exclusive Already has many dealers offering this for resale on eBay and Craigslist and some are being offered as signed.

Kristi…from what I hear there are 90 tickets for each of the 11 am and 3pm Friday signings, and tickets need to be picked up Weds night or all day Thursday.
