Being passionate about the Tomb Raider games and their heroine Lara Croft, I’ve not been able to resist at beautiful dolls created by Tonner.
Wanting to go further in the collection, I have create by myself my own outfits and accessories to customize the Lara Croft Tonner’s doll and make it as faithful as possible like in video games.
So, to complete each outfit, I do photo shoots in similar situations to Tomb Raider games!
In this last part is my passion for Lara Croft Tonner dolls :
I’ve never taken a sewing class, at the very beginning I did everything by hand. Since then I invested in a sewing machine that gives me results that are much cleaner and stronger. I do not work as well as Tonner, but I’m getting better!
The first outfit I wanted in my collection was the black slit dress of Tomb Raider Legend. A beautiful evening dress worn by Lara in the game where she is forced to tear the sides to be more comfortable in the fighting.
Second, I made the most famous outfit of Lara Croft! The green body and brown shorts. Certainly, Tonner gave us the privilege of having in our collection the wonderful doll “Classic Beauty” Tomb Raider Anniversary, but the outfit of the first classic games is slightly different.
I really enjoyed designing aid kits to include any small objects (in case your Lara was hurt lol!). A small series of photos in the snow to recall the very first scene of Tomb Raider (1996) with the wolves gave me cold fingers! The hardest thing to do for me are the boots and other footwear. I usually buy them from other artists and I customize them slightly. But sometimes I do boots myself but I’m not entirely satisfied !
Frustrated by the end of the Tonner collection and having always dreamed of having a Doppelganger, I made a call to an artist who repaints dolls (OOAK) to perfection: Donna (DBD).
I crafted entirely the outfit, made holsters, customized a pair of boots I bought, and use the guns of Tonner. Donna repainted the doll and styled her hair entirely! A real work of a Titan with an exceptional results!
To summarize, here a selection of my customizations:

As you noticed, Lara follows me everywhere! From my bathroom to the Tuileries gardens in Paris through the Rambouillet forest and through the beautiful beaches of Etretat, she travels as much as me to do for the best shots! We can say that I do not spare her, the poor girl! On the occasion of an outing organized by CosplayLaraCroft between fans, Lara met my friends who have greatly appreciated this Lara Croft Tonner doll and who was impressed by her size ! All the girls wanted her:
To concluded :
Thank you Robert Tonner for having created Lara Croft dolls for fans! I hope you will make new models for Tomb Raider (2013)!

I love the very first Lara Croft (Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider II, III, IV, V et VI).
You did a great job with her.
