Hola, Doll Lovers! Fresh off the plane from sunny San Francisco, where we just held our second annual West Coast event, hosted not only by ourselves, and our friends over at Wilde Imagination.
Check out the incredible Limited Edition Exclusives:
Patsy just got cuter: NEW for 2014, Patsy now has more articulation: bending arms with articulation at the wrist and elbow, beginning with the San Fran Exclusive.
We all got together on Saturday (1/18) for a fabulous luncheon – an afternoon just filled with friends, fun, and…DOLLS! And of course some super surprises, too.
As event-goers filled the banquet room, they were captivated by the grand display in the center, of brand new dolls from the 2014 Spring Collection from Wilde Imagination, as well as some sneak peeks for 2014 from Tonner Doll.
They then feverishly rushed over to the raffles, where the usual coveted prizes lay, only to find a very special surprise: In addition to the usual fabulous raffle offerings, there was a juicy treat – a few very special raffle items that were completely sold out, retired and archived RESIN pieces from Wilde Imagination.
After carefully placing their raffle tickets, the shopping commenced! They filled their arms, their bags and their hearts to the brim, just in time for lunch and the awarding of the door prizes. One lucky winner, Ms. Barbara Reid, won a free 2014 Tonner Convention Registration! Congrats, Barbara!
Then it was onto the fantastic program, hosted by Robert Tonner. Robert gave a great trip down memory lane in a look-back at 2013. We also took a trip into the future, with a preview of what’s coming up in 2014 for Tonner, Wilde and Effanbee. Some quite juicy tidbits were revealed, such as the newly acquired license for the popular TV show The Big Bang Theory. Penny. Knock knock. Penny. Knock knock. Penny. Knock knock.
…Also Robert gave an update on the Sindy project, with a preview of some of the collection, as well. Robert also touched on the progress of the Carmen Dell’Orefice Collection, coming at you in 2014.
Last but certainly not least, we staffers had one last trick up our sleeve: a Pop-Up Factory Sale! It was a real gas, and so special to be able to bring it to people who haven’t been able to attend the ones on the East Coast.
Truly, thank you to each and every one who came out, and made our event such a success. You were a fantastic, engaging group of people, and your enthusiasm and excitement will forever live on in our hearts! THANK YOU!
