Charlie’s Rapunzel Doll Blogging Experiment: The 61 Days of Martie

One of our #dollchat superstars is doing an interesting experiment in blogging, she is blog posting a pic of her newly beloved Martie. We mentioned her passion for Rapunzel last week: Charlie Answers the Tangled Q: What’s up with Rapunzel? . When we asked her what this project is about we got a great answer:

“I started 61 Days of Martie primarily because I love my Martie!, but also to push myself to take more and better pictures, and to get more creative with posing, costuming, and settings. 61 days seems an odd number, but at the time of the first picture, there were 61 days left in 2011. I didn’t want to commit to a year, or six months, and risk getting tired of the whole thing. Running a “XX days of Martie” through Dec. 31st, 2011 seemed reasonable, and of course an easy date to remember. Then, if I want to continue—whole new year to start! Did I mention that I love my Martie? That’s really the #1 reason.”

Just marvelous I say. Such a nice thing to see blogs being used creatively, and to have a collector exploring her new best doll by sharing her with everyone. Today was day 8. Follow along with her as we will do, as we see the 61 faces of Martie, the custom Tonner Rapunzel.
