Once upon a time, there was a little doll company. They loved making dolls, almost as much as people loved to collect them. But what everyone loved the most was getting everyone together, to enjoy dolls in a unified, community setting, where they would feast and play the days away.
There was a handsome Prince, who owed the doll company. Prince Robert, he was called. He made sure everyone’s doll dreams came true. And he was the fairest in all the land!
…sound familiar? Who says fairy tales don’t come true?!
Our last and final event, Once Upon a Time Breakfast, celebrated all things fairy tale! Our lovely event centerpiece is a beautifully rendered Cinderella, featuring the Kay head sculpt and the brand new Chic body. The evil step sisters live in a jealous agony, entranced by Cinderella’s enchanting painted blue eyes, creamy cameo skin tone, and perfectly coiffed rooted pale blonde tresses. Cinderella wears an enthralling ball gown of white satin and glitter tulle, crisp white gloves and, of course, her stately glass slippers. This gorgeous heroine of heroines is a LE of just 150 pieces, and turns back into a pumpkin by midnight!
The Sunday souvenir was a little extra fun this year, because guests were given a choice between two extremely adorable Patsy fairy tales: Patsy in Wonderland and Patsy Red Riding Hood. Ahhh! My eyes!!!! She is SO cute it hurts my EYES!
Patsy in Wonderland has the brand new 10” child body with the new arm articulation in the elbow and wrist and features blue-green inset eyes with applied lashes, non-removable wig of pale blonde curls and her true to form blue and white apron dress atop black and white striped tights and black mary jane shoes. LE 150
Patsy Red Riding Hood, you sure are looking good! You’re everything a big bad wolf could want, with your cool, bisque skin tone, blue inset eyes behind thick applied lashes, and non removable wig of mink. Patsy Red also features the new 10″ child body with advanced articulation. Wearing a rich velvet cape of red atop a red and white apron dress and red and black striped tights with black mary janes, Patsy Red Riding Hood is on her way to Grandmother’s! LE 150
Sunday is always the day of our Charity Auction. This year, we had TWO amazing charities that will benefit from the proceeds: A Friend’s House, long time beneficiary of the Tonner Doll Co. and 8 Henderson Place, Carmen Dell’Orefice’s charity. All of the OOAK’s are magnificent – and the ones benefiting 8 Henderson Place were some really beautiful Carmen OOAKs. Check it out:

We also heard some exciting new Tonner Doll News:

…and Robert takes a selfie with the audience!
Well, dear doll lovers, we came, we saw and we collected. It was truly a grand weekend. Every year seems to be even more special than the last, and we are delighted that you’ve traveled the globe and the internet to hang with us for a spell. It is always a pleasure to have some face time with our peeps that we talk to on the phone or through Social Media, and this time was no exception.
Our tiny little vinyl hearts are bursting with gratitude – THANK YOU so much for your constant support and engagement. THANK YOU to all the amazing volunteers, workshop teachers and organizers, Team Raffle, Team Competition, Team Exhibit, and of course, our guests! Without you, dear collectors, we could not create. An artist cannot work without his muse. We are beyond grateful for your loyalty today, and over the years – there are many of you who have been with us since the very beginning! To friends old and new: thank you thank you THANK YOU for making our conventions so special – it’s YOU for whom we create.
…and they all lived happily ever after.
