I scream! You scream! We all SCREAM for ice cream! Victorian Times, the kick-off of TonnerCon, was a grand ice cream social, with heaps of sweet, decadent ice cream with loads of fun toppings, satisfying every single sweet tooth in the house. Team Tonner was dressed in their finest Victorian garb, wearing red striped vests and arm bands atop a white button down with black slacks, and of course, a boater hat. Cute!
The guests were dressed to impress too:
Drum roll please: Now for the absolutely breathtaking period centerpiece set, featuring Cami, Jon and Matt wearing their finest Victorian threads. The guests were going mad over the fashions – they were a huge hit!
Victorian Social Cami wore an extravagant period dress of white, with breezy faux fur detailing, a gorgeous feathered hat and stunning period jewels and belt for a pop of color. With just 200 pieces made, this stunner may be gone before we get home!
Wearing an enchanting gown of red and white with a creamy sash and exaggerated bow and topped with a hat of red feathers, Victorian Social Jon is a gal of the times, no doubt! Super exclusive at just LE 100, Jon is a good time gal that won’t be around for long.
Ever dapper in his white slacks, red and white striped jacket, red bow tie and straw boater, Matt is the talk of the town. Ladies, this dashing fellow won’t be single for long, with only 100 pieces made.
As the TonnerCon guests were plying themselves with ice cream (…and the Tonner Staff, too!), Robert gave the opening presentation, introducing Team Tonner via fun presentation called, “Doin’ Time”. If you haven’t yet caught on, this year’s theme is all about TIME! Throughout the weekend, you’ll see all sorts of clever plays on that word and concept, this one being the first. So anyway, back to “Doin’ Time”. Each staff member was introduced via their Tonner mug shot – hilarious! Everyone (especially Team Tonner, I think) got a real kick out of it.
We were treated to the fun and exciting game of Spin the Wheel, where everyone was a winner. Take a look:
There was entertainment, too: A fantastic Barber Shop Quartet!
And now, for the most exciting part for the guests: the unveiling of their souvenir! The air is always electric with excitement in those moments before they see what is inside the box: A Victorian Basic! Featuring the doe-eyed Kay sculpt and the Antoinette body, this charming lady also includes gracefully styled rooted chestnut tresses, painted eyes and sweet slip-dress of powder blue, with a sweetheart neckline, pink bow and frothy white skirt. Gasps and moans of joy filled the room – the collectors adored her!

Even though I was far too filled up with sweets, I had to find a way to high-tail it over to the Vendor Sales Room for the Grand Opening. Robert was there, too, and cut the ribbon, officially beginning the fun. As collectors launched into the Vendor Sales Room, they were giddy with delight! So many amazing wares – truly, our people have got to be some of the most talented in the doll community. The room was packed, and soon, everyone’s arms were filled up with shopping bags.
Check out some of the amazing wares offered up:
